Definition of Sound - Love and Life- A Journey With the Chameleons 1991

This is as good a time as any to kick off thecorrector's summer. This should involve lots of sun, water, music, & referring to self in third person. This release stood out at the time but it doesn't hold up as well as I thought it would. The title doesn't help. Nevertheless,it is a great example of the direction that laid back jazzy hip-hop was going after the Native Tongues showed us all how it could be done. Track #4 is still the best use of The Hombres Let It Out (Let It All Hang Out) IMHO - correct me if I'm wrong.

1. When A Lion Awakens
2. Now Is Tomorrow
3. Passion And Pain
4. Wear Your Love Like Heaven
5. Reality

Heavy D & the Boyz - Nuttin' But Love1994

Remember when hip-hop was so popular you could make your intro track out of some voicemails? If this wasn't the day Heavy D fell off it was the year. C-list macks can work on their B-game with these tracks. Otherwise imagine those LL love songs with glossier production and a less gym-centric MC. See for yourself.
